The Naurouze information desk along the Canal du Midi’s watershed is open from June to September.

All kinds of refreshments as well as historic and touristic brochures are available.

Naurouze proposes a two hours walkway around the old basin (nowadays filled-in) perfect with children. Arboretum, craft works and historic panels will send you back to the Canal du Midi construction’s period, and the ambitious project of Pierre Paul Riquet.

Nearby, you will find the village of Montferrand with its paleo-christian archeological site “Peyre Clouque, its place on the aero postal history, and its medieval heritage still visible.

On the top of the village, you will enjoy a splendid panoramic view from the plains to the Pyrenees.
